OK OK. So the day that I have been waiting for has finally come to pass. Modest Mouse has released their first round of tour dates (So far only dates in the month of May) for this year. The dates and locations go as follows:

5/1 @ The Crystal Ballroom - Portland, OR
5/2 @ The Crystal Ballroom - Portland, OR
5/9 @ The Fillmore Charlotte - Charlotte, NC
5/10 @ Shaky Knees Music Festival - Atlanta, GA
5/12 @ Civic Theater - New Orleans, LA
5/14 @ The Fillmore Miami Beach at the Jackie Gleason Theater
    5/16 @ Beacham Theater - Orlando, FL
5/17 @ The Hangout Beach (Hangout Festival) - Gulf Shores, AL
    5/19 @ The National - Richmond, VA

5/21 @ ArtsQuest Center - Bethlehem, PA (GOING)

The fact that they’re playing this many dates in May leads me to believe that my original prediction of a MASSIVE tour this year should be correct. I CAN ONLY HOPE SO.

    Well, that’s just ridiculous.

So, I know that sombreros and solar shields may not be the most fashion conscious festival decision, but goddamn did they save the day last year.

Not having to worry about the sun at all was awesome, especially considering that I burn after about 6 minutes in the sun.  So, before you head to the Woodlands this summer consider grabbing a sombrero and old people sunglasses at your local thrift store.

Ok, this is MisterWives and they’re awesome. This song is so fantastically catchy and perfect for festivals. It sounds like it belongs in the 80’s but with an awesome twist of Indie Hipster Pop.

The song is called “Imagination Infatuation” and you can stream their Reflections EP on soundcloud by clicking the link: here

I definitely think that these guys are going to put on a phenomenal show, so see if you can’t find time in your busy planning to make it a point to see them.

    Hey Guys!

Me and my buddy started a new blog, Fuck Yeah Firefly Festival to give anyone interested in or attending the Firefly Music Festival information on new artists and awesome bands to check out this summer, and for years to come. Come check it out!

This is why I love the internet.

    Ladies and Gentlemen.

Welcome to your unofficial guide to the East Coast’s Premier Music Festival, “Firefly” in Dover Delaware. After two years of successful adventures to the woodlands, my partner in crime Walter here and I decided we wanted to share our experience and tips with the many new friends we look to meet at…
